Dave, did you even read the posts...an RPG is not required to have levels. Many of them simply do because it's an easy way to show progress and improvement because many of the games don't require improving your skills to be better. Also for an example, would you cut the Devil May Cry series out from the RPG genre as a whole? you don't have any specific level in any of those games. Or would you say that the Zelda games aren't RPGs? They may be better described as adventure, but they are still RPGs nonetheless.

I think I'll post a list of amazing games I have played: Any Zelda, except for the random one where Link actually talked. PSO PSU Starcraft/Brood War(expansion) WOW (it's really good, I just have a life so I suck at it) Diablo (it's old and majorly hacked but was fun even with only 3 char classes) Diablo II (it's from the 90s but I still play it with a couple other people I know, and online is free.) You can get a Diablo/DII/DIIexpansion battle chest for like $25 except I know a lot of you can't play M rated games. Also, they're PC games. The total war games, great TBS games for PC. Smash bros games (obviously) Final Fantasy X (the only one I really got to play, and it's cheap now) Star Ocean: Till the end of Time, if you want a game to last you forever, get this, and the guide, you will thank me. Halo 1/2/3 Gears of War Guitar Hero 2/3 (never played the first one) Bioshock Mass Effect Star Fox 64 Jet Force Gemini Goldeneye Pokemon (the gc ones had interesting twists to them) Eternal Sonata (a good "traditional" RPG with tons of stuff about music in it, sweet game, and a cool battle system) Hellgate: London, a sweet online game except it kills my comp when I play it.... Call of Duty 4, simply for the multiplayer if nothing else. Golden Sun (original) Fire Emblem (US original) ....can't think of any more right now, i'll edit if I think of more. It's a big list but it includes multiple systems, and gens.

As of what I know, myself and Mike are the only ones who have "beaten" it, neither of us has done the optional dungeons, but have completed the main story line. If you do decide to, get the guide, you won't believe the stuff you miss without it, the game is massively in depth. Just ask Mike, he restarted after he borrowed the guide from me because he missed so much.

It is true Star Ocean is so large, it is a figgen two disc game, of course it is going to be massive, and I beat it with the least amount of stuff needed to beat the game. It is a fun game if you know what you are doing, but when you get lost it pretty much sucks because you are stuck for alomost forever wondering what you missed. It is one massive puzzel and if you get one thing wrong it kinda puts you in a postion where you can't continue and would have to start over. I do suggest that if anyone wants to play the game to get the guide, because it sucks without it. Trust me I know!

i might want it some time in the future, but for now i need to beat Metroid Prime 3, Super Mario Galaxy, Fire emblem (first the GC one then the Wii one lol), and if i could id like to beat every song in guitar hero on expert. i really just hate it when i havent beaten a game and it just sits on my tv doing nothing.....maybe i should finis red steel too; i got pretty far in that game when i took it on vacation with me over the summer, shouldnt take too much to beat now i guess but whatever

Old topic:
Orez: I got the original metroid for virtual console, along with the snes one. I can't get anywhere in the NES one without dying.
Orez: Four words
NARPAS SWORD0 000000 0000000
JUSTIN BAILEY ------ ------
Both are cheat codes, yes, but they're great for exploring the map.
But, since there are energy-fill stations in Super Metroid, that would make the game more enjoyable and you wouldn't need the codes.
Good games should hard to master, not hard to play.

Yeah, when I first got it I tried to remember those codes, but I gave up pretty quickly.
And another really good game I just remembered: Pikmin 1 and 2
