. . .
Oh... My God. o___O;;
......... While it makes some sense, I highly doubt that's the case. xD;;
My retort:
"Dude, it's an anime. Let it be." XDD;;

No, it's more like some guy flipping out and ranting on possible reasons why the Pokemon anime is what it is. o__O;;
Methinks someone needs meds. XD;;

I read the first volume before, and from what I could tell, it was kinda like "Bleach For Newbies"... o_oa
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yu_Yu_Hakusho
Here's the good stuff. >o>
Yeah, the main character (Yusuke) dies prematurely by saving some kid from an accident who would've lived anyway, and the afterlife wasn't ready for him. Morals and fantasy ensue. <o<a
I thought it was alright. Granted, I only read one volume, but still. >_>a

Ah, I see. and what exactly is "Bleach," then??? off topic: Have any of you heard of anime6.org? Do they show pirated clips or something? I watched a few old-school pokemon episodes (good luck finding them anywhere else) upon reading that psycho-babble that Orez mentioned, and now they've taken them all down due to "infringement." I wanted to finish the indigo league...

Bleach:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bleach_anime
Anime6... Nope, never heard of it. But most sites like that do it illegally. That's why the American licensors are getting screwed over. The anime industry over here is in a tight spot (but not Japan, since they get TV blocks and whatever) because of these sites. They (the legal people) are starting to crack down on sites like that... Which is a good thing, but I'm surprised it has taken them this long. o__o;
Sure, I watch a little bit of illegal stuff, but I also buy the DVDs and other merchandise so I don't kill the industry. >_>a
Dude, I have the first fifty-two American-released episodes of Pokemon: Indigo League on DVD. If you wanna borrow 'em sometime, just ask. ^_^
And you can watch the "banned episodes" on YouTube, such as:
"Electric Soldier Porygon," which gave Japanese kids seizures...
"Beauty and the Beach," which showed James with inflatable boobs... And boob jokes...
And "The Legend of Miniryu," which depicted gun violence. ("Miniryu" is the Japanese name for "Dratini.")
After watching those, I realized that those episodes were a good chunk of the plot... Like "Legend of Miniryu" showed them going to the Safari Zone and was the same episode that Ash caught all his Tauros... <_<a
......... So yeah. That's that. o-oa

Hehehe... miniryu literally means "mini-dragon". Which is funny, because it's DRAgon TINY. Lawl.
And yeah, apparently nukes + electricity = 635+ kids with seizures. Who knew.

Aurum if you're looking to start into Bleach then I would recommend the manga over the episodes, one because they come out weekly, two because you get the authors vision not whoever turned it into an anime. Also it's easier to catch up on 300 manga chapters than like 165 anime episodes.
Yuyu hakusho is a good action but it can get boring sometimes, mainly because it's like DBZ, boring when they aren't kicking the crap out of each other and has some drawn out battles. I haven't read the anime however so can't comment on that.
(there's a gap because i haven't been on here much and i'm catching up on most of the conversations)

Boy, big posts... ... ... ... ... ... ... OK, I get it then. ... I didn't know they put those seasons out on DVD. Cool... <and yes, I know I am being nerd for saying that's cool.> ... ... Electric Soldier is on youtube, but I'm too chicken to view it. If you want a rich laugh, watch "Bad to the Bone." It's one of the few episodes I saw and, well, let's say James does something more disturbing then don cleavage... you'll get it when you see it. ... I agree that DBZ's fight scenes were way too long, especially when you weigh in how long the episodes themselves were, minus commercials. That peeved me back when DBZ first came out, which is why I got bored with them. ... Did anyone ever watch Gundam Wing?

Don't be like Ice! Please don't kill the economy~! xOOO
Yeah, they started putting Pokemon Indigo League on DVD some time last year... It's so very nostalgic. XD;
You're surrounded by nerds in this thread. So don't sweat it.
The Porygon episode really isn't that bad... It's a little annoying, but it's not like "STROBE LIGHT IN YOUR FACE" bad. xD;;
Dragon Ball Z. I tried that once, and I disliked it. *bleh* ~_~
Gundam Wing... NOW you're going old-school. xDD;
I've never really paid attention to it much 'cause I'm not a huge fan of mecha-based anime... But the people who are pretty much worship all of 'em. o_oa

Nerd, noun "nird" def 1. Freedom from worrying about what others think of your hobbies. Too bad Bad to the Bone isn't in the first season, I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it. And I'm not wrecking the economy, I just don't know what my parental units would have to say if I asked him to buy a whole bunch of Pokemon stuff (not that I don't already have the games and cards... ) on eBay or whatever. Probably nothing, though my Dad thinks it's a waste of time... I don't.
