Since I got this game for 360 (and have played it on the PS3) I figured I would review this due to the discussion of it in the SC2 thread.
The game plays the same as the other ones, it's a fighter big deal. The graphics look crazy for it of course and as usual it's a fun game that can be either a button masher or skill based fighting game.
There is a very short story mode for each character, 5 stages for every character. Short and sweet. Story mode unlocks many of the characters and the weapons for the characters (create a character mode works wonders and can create some very funny/creepy/powerful characters).
Arcade mode is where the other characters are unlocked (theres only like 1 or 2 that can't be unlocked in story). It's a series of battles one after another (standard fighter arcade mode).
Then there's the tower. 20 floors up and a lot down. This is the bigger "story" type mode. There isn't a story but it is where you would spend most of your time if you can't play multiplayer (but why would you get it if you couldn't?).
Online and local multiplayer game types where you can either use standard equipment or custom characters.
Fun game, but I recommend against it if you don't have access to opponents either through xbox live or local (not a problem for college students).

before i got through reading your review i was allready thinking something but you mentioned it in the end. i think the game is pretty fun, but in my oppinion its the most fun when you are playing real people and even though you can use Live i still like both people actually being there better. but yeah its a great game if your in college

The game really is fun, and I know that there are occasionally tourneys held here at RIT by the EGS club.
