Remember computer club in high school? Remember high school?
I dunno if anyone here was actually in computer club (I know tess was, but she doesn't come on the ninpozium often... or at all...), but if you recall last year it was... a lot of seniors. A couple of freshmen and sophomores, but mostly seniors. So fourth block yesterday my friend tim said to me "hey, computer club's today. i dont think there's really anyone in it. wanna go become president and vice president so we can go to leadership day and NOT go to classes on friday?"
So yeah, now I'm totally vice president of computer club. =D

I forgot.. I was gonna ask you 'n' bushy to take it over. How's it doing? Change the name to the computer and video game club and sell ICED COFFEE for homecoming. Made $250 last year that way. Yeah, that's all the advice I have for now. I'll ask tess if she has any ideas to help you guys.

Ha I'm sure Mr. Merlis will have something to say. He expressed a desire to move away from gaming and more towards programming. best of luck

Mr Merlis isn't running it anymore, in fact he's only part time this year (bdf days, actually). Mr. Thomas is in charge this year, although we're probably using merlis's room.
And yeah, if there's any highschoolers left on this board... feel free to join us! We don't know what we're doing! =D

Ha I'm sure Mr. Merlis will have something to say. He expressed a desire to move away from gaming and more towards programming. best of luck If he wanted to go towards programming, then he had the wrong leardership last year. As I was not an officer, but attempted to do the work of one, I wanted to have computer programming and debugging classes offered after school. Probbum was, no one who programmed wanted to do that and I can't program much more than a mechanical alarm clock, which is to say nothing at all. Furthermore, Mr. Merlis never really got involved, even when we were run by programmers and gamers. Mrs. White was always more interested in the club... after she and the old leadership left, it went into a slow decline. Not unlike debate club, which is in cardiac aarrest on the floor awaiting an AED shock to bring it back to life. Bring us back to glory, Orez!

yeah he always said he nvr felt like it was his club b/c all the officers and members experienced the mrs. white era. He took over as adviser but had little control and thus the club went to focus on gaming. Youre right tho, it has declined. I remeber being in there when mrs. white was around doing some java, and the room was almost filled and they were programming flash which is awesome.
