I will post a review soon, because I can't keep my mouth shut about this game. So far, it's truly awesome! Graphics are a little shaky, but it just punted me right into play and it is unusually "addictive."

This game is an oddly large impulse buy for me: you see, after playing Brawl so much over the last few months, I felt unusually hungry for a good solid RPG. I jumped on no more heroes because of it's supposedly "completely different you will find nothing alse like it" review on ZP. I was interested in something new and different, and while being really similar to Grand Left Motto or something like that, it was a completely wonky, fun game.
The game sets up a situation where you are a totally wierd man in his twenties: Travis Touchdown, otaku with a dark hobby: the kosher slaughter of Homo Sapiens. You are punted right into the mansion of the tenth greatest assassin in Havana, I mean, Santa Destroy, and you are eleventh on this arbitrary ranking system of assassins as Travis.
Your game? Kill your way to the top.
Ordinarily, I wouldn't give a game like that a second look, but No More Heroes is so quirky that it takes the dark overtones of the plot and dresses them up with clown makeup and a dancing-girl costume. You can't take NMH seriously or you will get in the way of your own bizarre fun.
The combat is a lot of fun, running quite different from Zelda despite being a 3rd-person sword game, and it will hook you instantly. You can slash, dissect, or wrestle your enemies into oblivion and if you get lucky, Travis will literally shout out the name of one of his favorite desserts and gain fun superpowers. The challenge in this game is consistent, and actually augments the fun rather than being discouranging. The only thing that is lacking in this game is a deeper story (not needed) and better graphics (big whoop).
I say it was worth my $30 and if you are not a blood-and-sexual-theme-phobic, it is definitely worth yours too!
