Anyone buy any gamecube games or old titles for, well, see the title? Any old titles that are any good? I was looking at a Star Wars title (Rogue Squadron or-a sumpin') and (lol) Shadow the Hedgehog at the Nisky EB today. I don't like buying used games from chain stores, though, because I couldn't haggle the price below $10.
Anyone else buy bargain-bin games a lot? Any good ones out there that I missed in never having owned a GameCube?

Are you talking just good GC games, or relatively unpopular good GC games? Because I know a bunch of one and a couple of the other.

Unpopular, of course. Stuff no one hypes up...you know, new and interesting things.
Or the popular ones, although I have the Metroids and XD (the game, not the laugh).

Tales of Symphonia. 80 hours of pure awesome.
Also, you might want to look into the Metroid Prime series and Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean.

Eternal Wings is the first one. The second is Origins, which is actually a prequal to Eternal Wings.

I have a couple of games for gamecube that my dad bought because they were cheap and he wanted to try it out. The one that was surprisingly good was "NHL hitz 2002(3?)". If you played it right, it was less like hockey and more like "let's see how many people on their team I can take out of this season by punching them". If you can find "Casper Spirit Dimentions" for under 5 dollars, buy it just for how horrifically bad it is. Like, how did they mess that up so bad. .___________.; I really don't know anything else really good that's not already popular (that hasn't already been said). Nightfire maybe? Maybe try to find the original pikmin, that was a fun game. Edit: Oh, duh! Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem. I want this game a lot, it looks so good, if not entirely creepy.

Interesting stuff... might look into them... not Casper though, and the only way I like sports is watching them at the stadium or playing them. NHL one sounds funny, but I prefer other games. (I like nostalgic ones in particular: Nintendo NES series, SimCity and Pokemon for that reason, maybe I'll buy a Sonic or two to try them out)... thanks!
edit: I'm hunting ebay now for games. ToS is not cheap! It must be in decent demand!..
edit again: Dang, ToS is expensive!! Not buying anything until I beat XD, that's that.

I don't really know how popular this game is but SSX Tricky (the regular one) was one of the best games ever It wasn't like ok lets see who can snowboard the best like 1080 Avalanche but it was more like who can do the stupidest and most outrageous trick while on a snowboard

That game was pretty fun. Yeah I just remembered, Beyond Good and Evil. Even though it's ALSO on ps2, xbox, and pc. This is another one I really want (for PC, this time), it looks really good and i've heard pretty good things about it.

Yes. Yes it does.
Just... the sanity stuff that happens to not just your character, but you. Like a volume meter appears on your tv and gets turned down as the volume gets turned down, or it gives fake error messages about your gamecube getting broken. It looks absolutely brilliant.
