Well, to start this off this was a fun game, although it can be hard to aim sometimes with the Wii mote. Or maybe it was just me. But I did enjoy this game, had an interesting story and added hypermode to Samus' arsenal.
As can be expected there are many over the top battles against opponents who should probably kill you instantly, but that isn't unusual for a Metroid game. Actually it's one of the best parts. The boss battles are fun and many of them make you use not only the weapon/upgrade you just unlocked but some of the ones you earned earlier in the game as well. This keeps things interesting as some games tend to follow the pattern of giving you a weapon and then the only time you use it is against the next boss. Some of the puzzles are fairly challenging, but nothing you can't overcome with some patience. Hand eye coordination is necessary to some extent for aiming, although it gets easier as you play more.
I thought it was a great game and if you're looking for a shooter/rpg (not sure exactly where it falls) for the Wii this would be a good game to pick up, especially with the fairly small library the Wii has (compared to 360 and PC).
PS: I know I'm not the only one who owns this game, if anyone else would like to contribute their own opinions feel free.

I never beat it, but from what I played it was very good. It's definitely a lot harder than the first two, because the lock-on is pretty useless now. One of my major complaints is, in fact, hypermode, because it just takes away a full 100 health. But the boss fights were epic, and I loved the battle with that purple shapeshifting one.

Prime 3's one of my favorite Wii games. It might have even topped Zelda, but that's iffy. The controls were near perfect as long as you set it to advanced. My only complaint was that it was a bit too linear for my liking. You almost always knew where to go next unlike the first two, and there was much less backtracking. But most people think that's a good thing so I guess I'm just weird. And about hypermode, if you got out of it (by hitting +) before your phazon meter depleted you only lost as much health as you used phazon. I loved it, you could pretty much become God whenever you wanted to.
Anyone who owns a Wii should have Prime 3. As long as you like Zelda-esque games and don't mind shooters, you'll love it.
And Jake, if you were wondering, it's an FPA or first person adventure. Kinda like Zelda meets Halo, but leaning more towards Zelda.

Ya just wasn't sure exactly what to call it, I knew it was like a shooter oriented Zelda.
