Do any of you use the white USB 2.0 plug for wi-fi access? I do, but my connection's been getting worse and worse lately. I can't play Brawl online b/c the dumb piece of junk kicks me off every 90 seconds or so. Anybody else have this problem?

(if you want to bump something, post and then immediately delete your post. it makes it look like there's a new post when actually there isn't)

...Does anyone know about the internet problem? Does your system usually say Error 51054 or something like that?

That explains part of, but not all of, the problem. The internet connection (Wii to Computer) is pretty sketchy. I'm buying asix foot USB cable to move the antenna closer the Wii. I'll see if that works, and if not, I need to get something repaired. I don't know quite what, though.

Roadrunner Lite, running thru a USB-2.0 port behind my computer. I figure is I can move the USB plug (the transmitter) closer to my Wii that wires in the walls ofmy house, etc, won't cause any interference. It's a cheap experiment. I might as well try.
...you say that cables give slow connections?

I don't know much about the setup of the wii, or it's online service, but to get Live on my 360 I connected an ethernet cable to my laptop and 360, flipped some settings around, and voila. Free Wifi. Granted, the wifi adapter is $99 for 360, so thats why i didnt want it.

Thanks for the help, everyone, but I do have one further question...
Really my question is, why is that my wi-fi is not working in one spot, but if I move the antenna five inches over, it starts connecting? And why does it never connect for more than a minute?
Does anybody know what screws up a wi-fi signal?

Could be lots of things, but generally not a problem over short distances. I use my neighbors wifi at my camp, but I can generally only get it in a glass room unless the weather is bad. Unless you have a really weak router, your signal should be fairly strong. Could also be a faulty usb connector. If you have a laptop its a good way to check signal strength.

I imagine the USB antenna is really weak. I'll check it out. Thanks.
