Exceptionally, supremely kickass. That's what the Pokemon series should have been in the first place. Evidently, there is an MMO emulator online already, but it is not legit. They better make one soon!

It's not legit, and it's just trying to copy the current pokemon system. I want a new pokemon system for an mmo!

I also like the idea of a realtime fighter mode for the game instead of turn-based combat. I came up with an idea like that when my mind substituted a Flareon in for Wolf Link while I was playing Twilight Princess.
======================================================================
My idea...
Phase 1: You start in trainer mode, you and your opponent(s) give command moves to be executed by the pokes, like with the B-trigger. "Load the gun."
Phase 2- real time fighter match where you and your opponent attempt to dodge the other's move (by strafing like Z+A works with wolf link), then you release one PP worth of attack with the B-trigger when you have finally got a good aim at your opposing Pokemon. Moves like barrier, extremespeed or protect would activate instantly at the outset of Phase 2. "Aim and fire the gun"
Phase 3- both B-moves have been launched, whether they hit or missed is a function of the player's skill, and the game returns to you as the trainer selecting the next of the four possible moves to deploy the next turn, or else use an item. Repeat. "Strategize, reload, and attack again."
This would be hybrid of the current system and a chaotic button mashing fighting game, where all the finer elements of the play like item use would go out the window.
Hope this ain't too bizarre, but this would work out all my frustrations with the series as it is now.
